The two story structure with twin fireplaces and a grand ballroom is preserved upstairs though lower rooms are smaller. Once owned by Philip Hughes, an 1875 atlas shows the Hughes family linked to the First National Bank of Hamilton.

A historic 160 acre Woodmansee family home in Liberty Township begun in 1809 served as a meeting house for Methodists and hosted ministers. Later owners include the Herr LeMay Hoffman and Butler County Engineer family Perin who resided 1944 1958. The property, once famed for ballrooms and chandeliers, sits with a For Lease sign and plans to become a dining venue or tea house.

If not, the candidate or chairman may be cited to court per Ohio Revised Code 5589.33 and the township may remove the signs as evidence.
