Brisk Pace as Graduation Season Nears at Lakota and Monroe
Lakota High School will award 350 diplomas at a June 2 commencement with D Russel Lee as speaker and Richard Lee Thomas as valedictorian. Salutatorian is David Wayne Midkiff with ceremonies June 2 to 7. Monroe High School will grant 270 diplomas in a June 2 8 p.m. ceremony with an unannounced senior speaker and closing day June 3, honoring the 1924 class.

Union Township Trustees approved bids through the Butler County Engineer for blacktop on 2.55 miles and tar-and-chip on 2.3 miles at a total estimated cost near 62 688. The Doctorcopter program brings Medicopter II to Butler County as Ohio Army National Guard pilots and civilian doctors team with life squads.
