Copies cost 1.50 with 200 numbered limited editions at 2.50 and two special numbers auctioned Sept 4.
Flipper Sandoval and Jemimah Perez from Mexico City studied Lakota HighSchool life during an informal round table in the teachers lounge. They described adapting to U.S. culture, host families, and future plans in architecture and management. They plan to return visits and depart for home within a month.
World Airways donated a Boeing 727 flight simulator to Lakota High School boosting its aviation aerospace class. Instructor Phillip Ridenour notes the device helps students learn instrument flight conditions and zero visibility scenarios while preparing for private pilot exams.
Plans for Union Town ship's annual Memorial Day Parade are near completion says Gay Hillman. Units assemble at Union School at 10 a.m. May 31 and depart for Brookside Cemetery at 10 30 for ceremonies with Virginia Showalter as Grand Marshal and Ray Rosenberger as MC.
Early deadlines set for Memorial Day weekend so Monroe ULJ staff may spend time with families. All news items must reach the Journal office by Thursday.
