Pisgah Village Center to rise in Union Township
Cincinnati firm Chelsea Moore Shopping Center Development unveiled plans for a 2.25 million Pisgah Village Center at Cox and West Chester Roads and Ohio 42. It will open by late 1977 with 25 to 30 shops, a supermarket, druggist, offices, restaurant, tavern, and outdoor design evoking Cape Cod and Nantucket styling.

Monroe Council heard that wells can produce 2.2 million gallons daily enough for 22 000 residents. A water study was presented as required by the EPA before expanding the water treatment plant. Council also read a resolution to ask county commissioners to broaden the list of roads funded by the $5 license tax, currently only Todhunter Road and Cincinnati Dayton Road are eligible.

T-Bird Musicians Shine in OMEA District Meet
Lakota High School students earned 13 superior and 22 excellent ratings at the OMEA District 13 State Solo and Ensemble Contest held at Hamilton Taft High School. Class A and B honors went to numerous students across instruments and choral groups, with several scorers highlighted. The T-Bird varsity beat Franklin 64-33, advancing to tournament play, while the reserve team beat Edgewood 26-10 and later beat Franklin 37-31.
