Union trustees clear way for public street lights
The Union Township Trustees move to establish 25 lighting districts to install streetlights funded via real estate taxes. The Journal Publishing Company released a 168 page reproduction of the 1875 Atlas of Butler County with ads from 1975 and a 1987 Business Directory listing local leaders. Price is 1.50 for 7,500 copies, with 50 copies available at the Monroe-ULJ office in Maud. Union Township bike safety inspection set for July 26 at Hopewell Elementary and Hy Crest Swim Club.
