Ross man dies in I-75 crash in county's third fatality
Glenn Wagster 45 of 4151 Hamilton-Cleves Road Ross was killed in a single car crash on I-75 two miles south of Monroe. State patrol reports his northbound car left the highway, hit a guardrail and rolled down an embankment. Butler County coroner Garret J. Boone attributed death to multiple injuries and the body was taken to Mercy Hospital.

Strinko Files for U S House Seat in Butler County Race
Monroe High graduate Ed Strinko filed petitions with the Butler County Elections Board to seek the Democratic nomination for the U S House Eighth District. His petitions include electors from all six counties in the district. Strinko cites energy industry monopolies and calls for public campaign financing and an excess profits tax on oil.
