Liberty Township Eyes Second Firehouse Plans This Week
Final plans for Liberty Township second firehouse should be submitted to Township Trustees within the week. Plans then go to the County Prosecutor for approval. The facility will serve the eastern portion near Dutchland Woods, replacing the sole Maystown station on Route 747. Trustees worry one station may be inadequate for rapid eastern growth. A 1975 fire department expenditures list totaled 6143 for radios hoses generators and uniforms. A cemetery storage generator and cemetery lot rates were noted alongside a sheep claim for 145.
