Blue Devils seek girls soccer registrations for fall play
The Pisgah Athletic Club Blue Devils invite area girls ages seven to 14 to a second fall soccer registration at Hopewell School on Saturday February 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A $5 fee will be refundable if withdrawal occurs before August 1. Openings exist on Federle Blue Devils football teams, especially in the 10 year old divisions, with boys able to register then.

Mrs. Louise Trombetta, appointed again as temporary deputy registrar, takes reservations for Ohio auto license plates by phone at 777-2597. Plate series include 3701 LT-7800 LT, 7101 LU-8300 LU, 2751 MA 3050 MA. Reservations run March 1 to March 13 in Pisgah, then general sale March 16 to April 15. Price is 17 dollars per set.

Marine pleads to petit theft in Pisgah carryout robbery
Alfred J. Roettele Jr., 20, on leave from the U S Marine Corps, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge after a January 24 holdup at the King Kwick carry-out in Union Township. He received a 120 day suspended jail term with six days already served, and must report to his base and avoid further charges. The robbery yielded less than $20. He is to report to the Marine Supply Station in Albany Georgia.

Hopewell PTA screens Disney feature for area children
Hopewell PTA announces a time change for Saturday screenings at Hopewell Elementary Gym Cox Road. The 2 p.m. start remains but ends at 3:30 p.m. Parents must pick up by 3:45 p.m. Adult supervision ends after the film, though staff will supervise during showtime. Tickets cost 25 cents, popcorn and Pepsi 10 cents each. Doors open 1:45 p.m. for a Walt Disney feature.
