The Butler County National Farmers Organization will hold a farmer to consumer sale Friday Dec 5 in the United Auto Workers lot at 1233 Symmes Rd Hamilton from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Products include cheeses navy beans maple syrup sorghum molasses and potatoes with all items produced by NFO members. The sales cut out the middleman and are popular nationwide helping farmers and shoppers.

Butler County sees October unemployment drop to 9.6 percent
Butler County's October unemployment rate fell to 9.6 percent from 10.5 in September. The total unemployed dropped by 800 to 9,800 while total employment rose to 93,238 and the labor force reached 103,130. Unemployment claims for Nov 15 and Nov 22 numbered 3129 and 585 respectively.
