Opposing Ukiah Freeway Group Forms at Grange Hall
A 56 member committee formed Tuesday night at the Ukiah Grange hall to oppose the proposed Ukiah bypass freeway. Led by attorney John Golden and businessman Wald o Perkins the group aims to marshal facts and seek alternative routes such as a truck bypass. Members signed a petition enrolling in the Committee for Opposing the Ukiah Freeway and planned to prepare for future hearings.
