Supervisors OK Long Valley Fire District Proposal
The board of supervisors approved the formation of the Long Valley Fire Protection District after a public hearing with no protests. Commissioners Lothar Jung Emerson Elliott and Robert Sutherland of Laytonville were appointed to serve until an election, as the district extends about five miles north and four and a half miles south of Gaytonville, about five miles wide, to allow a special assessment for new equipment.
