Milpitas Man Killed in Boonville Wedding Ride Crash
An 18-year-old Milpitas man, John Stacey Johnson, died in a Saturday crash near Boonville after leaving his brother’s wedding reception. Passenger Stephanie Butler, 17, of Ukiah, survived with major injuries. The pair was returning Butler’s car when Johnson attempted a high speed pass on a wet curve, went off the road, and was ejected along with Butler. Funeral services are set for Tuesday at Zimmerman Mortuary with interment at Inglewood Memorial Park.

Modest storm brings relief to drought in Ukiah area
A light storm dropped 1.65 inches in Ukiah from Sunday night through today, boosting the weekly total to 2.22 inches and easing water shortages for farmers and residents.
