Flagman Hit by Open-Event Stockcar at Lake County Fairgrounds

William Joe Mitchell 40 of Ukiah was struck by a stockcar driven by Bob Fulton during NCAA stock car racing at the Lake County Fairgrounds. Mitchell remained in fair condition after surgery with a fractured wrist and leg and facial injuries. The incident occurred as cars lined up. no police report filed due to private property.
