Drug charges filed on three suspects in Philo area
Three Peninsula men and a Philo resident were arrested Thursday on dangerous drug charges after an Mendocino County sheriff's office investigation. Jack Ellinger 18 Greg Burnett Gurnee 18 and Jeffrey Weddington Neal 18 face counts of marijuana possession and related offenses. A separate arrest in Point Arena involved Michael Howard Lillie 18 with cultivation and possession of marijuana plus paraphernalia charges.

Highway 20 head-on injures four
Four people were injured in a two car head on collision on Highway 20 east of Lucerne. Steven D Bower 16 of San Francisco attempted a left turn into Bender Drive and turned into the path of Benny R Bryant 56 of Lucerne. Bryant and Bower were injured along with Donna Bower 17 and Mike Bryant 10 both of Lucerne. All were taken to Lakeside Community Hospital with minor to possible major injuries.
