Notre Dame May Go to Halfback Shuffle Against Oklahoma

Notre Dame coach Terry Brennan faces a bruised lineup with Paul Hornung hampered by a dislocated left thumb and Larry Cooke sidelined by a sprained ankle. If Hornung cannot pass or handle exchanges, Jim Morse and Chuck Lima would share halfback duties while Cooke or Bob Williams could quarterback. Brennan anticipates a tested attack as he plans adjustments for the Sooners.

Bear Duo Lead in National Pro Grid Running Passing

Rick Casares and Eddie Brown led NFL backs in rushing and passing midway through the season. Casares moved into first in rushing with 401 yards. Brown led in receptions and passing yards with 509. Lamar McHan rose to second in passing. Howton paced receivers with 516 yards. Adrian Burk topped punting at 45.4 yards, while Matsomprags led kickoff returns at 38.2.
