Ukiah Mendocino County Library to Dedicate Saturday
The Ukiah and Mendocino County library building will be formally dedicated at 11 a.m. Saturday with City and County officials present. State Librarian Ethel Crockett will give the major address. Poindexter Found Guilty of Felonies in Sacramento Case
A Sacramento Superior Court jury found Paul Allen Poindexter guilty of concealing and withholding stolen property and possession of a concealable weapon by a felon. Poindexter, 33, was arrested July 21, 1972, on Highway 101 near Longvale after officers observed a pistol fragment under the seat of a borrowed car. He acknowledged parole status as a convicted felon and received a state prison sentence. A 17-year-old juvenile passenger was later returned to Sacramento after juvenile court conviction.
