San Francisco Firm Buys Southside School Bonds
The county board sold the $151000 Southside school bonds on Washington and Helen streets to Blyth and Company Investment of San Francisco. The bid totaled 2.18 percent interest with splits of 20000 at 2 percent 49000 at 2.5 percent and 16000 at 4.5 percent. Other bidders were Heller Bruce Bank of America American Trust and Mt. E Work Company. The board also reviewed an $851.60 damage claim by J L Williams for fire damage at the Calpella garbage disposal area with disputed costs. He was born December 27, 1881, in Boonville and spent his life ranching, leaving many friends and a note as a devoted sportsman.
