Pra Bob Whitaker announced entrants from Santa Rosa Mill Valley Healdsburg Cobb Valley Mendocino County for the Mendocino County championship next Sunday and Monday. Medal play for a large trophy from scratch with low net and low gross prizes in classes A B C. 18 holes per day optional. entry $2.60 and green fee $1.50. Mixed four ball team Margarete Scwarm Horace Fahragg won with 84 16 68 low net. Gordon Hill shot low 34 in men's nine hole. Jim Maher 35 one over par. Gen Cox Mona Fahrney tied 44 for women's low gross. Cox 44 9.35 net for ladies low net. Mary Walch Verna Mill tied for second with 38.

City Basketball Signups Tonight

All men interested in playing sponsoring or officiating in a winter recreational basketball league are urged to report to the south hall of City Hall tonight at 8 o clock for an organizational meeting. Stan Stafford city recreation director will outline the planned season rules and then meet prospective recreation basketball leaders to determine starting dates and other details.

Ukiah Football Preps Queen coronation during halftime

Ukiah prepares for a 6 p.m. junior varsity game and an 8 p.m. varsity clash with a halftime coronation of a Football Queen. Candidates from multiple student groups vie on and off the field, while coaches Sten and Tatum drill pass offense and defense. Healdsburg's Howie Hartman noted as a spark for the town, and the Jayvees scrimmage aims to sharpen defense before Friday’s finale. If plans hold, Ukiah advances to Napa next, with the varsity heading to Napa on Saturday night, November 17.

Ski Club Meeting Planned For Ukiah Area

The Ukiah/Sva and Ski Club schedules a meeting Thursday at 7 30 PM at the Municipal clubhouse. Mike Joan Kingery leads a discussion on proper ski and after ski clothes with advisor Miss Kingery. Holiday Festival Draw Sets Opening Matches at MSG

New York City hosts the 10 team Holiday Festival starting December 25 at Madison Square Garden. Villanova meets NYU while Temple takes on Fordham in the first round. Niagara faces Manhattan College and Notre Dame meets the Villanova NYU winner. Semi finals and title game follow December 28 and 29.
