Fire calls report two small blazes and one wood chip fire
Fire dispatches list three incidents Tuesday including a garage roof fire at Eugene Davis home on Grove Avenue with minor damage and probable cause as children throwing matches. Fort Bragg hospital administrator Hal Storer was selected unanimously by the board of supervisors to fill the Ten Mile Judicial District judgeship, succeeding Robert Heeb. The decision came after an open session vote though earlier personnel deliberations showed division over candidates Richard Petersen and Paul Bance. Storer, 55, a Ukiah native, has a background in PG&E sales and Fort Bragg Furniture Mart ownership. he will resign his hospital post and must run in June 1974 for the two year unexpired term.
