Frazier Wins Unanimous Over Scrap Iron Johnson at Olympic
Youthful Joe Frazier remained undefeated with a unanimous decision over aggressive George Johnson at the Olympic Auditorium. It was Frazier’s 16th pro win. Johnson pressed early, but Frazier rallied to dominate the fifth, crowd at 9,100 creating a lively finish. Referee Lee Grossman scored 7-3 with 10-0 and 7-2 by the judges. Johnson absorbed heavy punishment but was never knocked down.
