Four Adults and Child Victims Die In Highway 101 Crash
A three vehicle head on collision on Highway 101 near a Bell Spring ranch claimed four adults and a two year old child. Andrea Lynn Smith 26 of Las Vegas was passing in a two lane stretch when she collided with Irwin Smith 57 of San Francisco. Beatrice Pauline Smith 48 and Maude Matherson 84 also died along with Andrew Smith’s two year old son Charles Proctor Smith. Irwin Smith and another child were hospitalized in good condition. A San Jose camper Mike Kern witnessed the crash.

Girl Hurt in Ukiah Area Car Crash Near MB Route

Chef Cafe robbed of 500 during weekend break in
Frank Cuff owner of the Chef Cafe on No State Street reported to police that 500 in cash was taken from the rear office between 10 p m last night and 6 a m today. A window pane was broken but the thief did not enter the building and reached in to grab a plastic bag containing money. The owner noted 2100 in drawers and on the desk near the window was left untouched.
