Seven Year Old Injured In Mini-Bike Accident

A seven year old from Talmage suffered severe head injuries Tuesday evening after being thrown from a mini-bike in the Foster Lane area. Brian Dean Neely, son of Mr and Mrs Donald D Neely, was rushed by Ukiah Ambulance Service to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital after initial treatment at Ukiah General Hospital. He reportedly lost control while speeding and was en route to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for possible head surgery.

Two Boonville girls injured in cycle truck crash

Two 16-year-old girls, Cathy Wyant and Martha Tucker, were injured Tuesday evening when a motorcycle entered the path of a westbound pickup driven by Dan LaRue. Cathy sustained major internal injuries while Martha suffered a possible double fracture and other injuries. The collision occurred at Mountain View Road and Ornham Lane with sun glare and overgrown sightlines noted by patrol.

Education voice sought on Mendocino State Hospital panel

The Mendocino County board of supervisors voted to increase the eight member MSH utilization group to nine with the new member to come from education.
