Vigilante hippies attack drugs in Santa Rosa area
In Santa Rosa the Samona County Dope Watch group dumped 3000 dollars worth of barbiturates heroin and amphetamines at the sheriff's office and warned of more strikes. To Rebuild Fort Ross Chapel Plan Unveiled
A $75,000 drive to rebuild the Russian Orthodox Chapel at Fort Ross launched in San Francisco with a scale model unveiling. Bert C. Cooper of Santa Rosa built the model from Sonoma County salvaged wood. Robert Howard of the California State Bank Foundation expects preliminary construction to begin this summer. Fort Ross, once a Russian fishing and fur trading post, became state property after the 1906 earthquake toppled the chapel, which had been restored.
