Cassius Clay and George Chuvalo engaged in a hard fought 14 round bout with no knockdowns. Reports noted Clay trading more punches late as he pressed the action while Chuvalo endured punishment and claimed a draw was deserved. Telecast arrangements suggested a modest payday for Clay and a poorer return for Chuvalo, with promoter notes on receipts and TV rights.
