Little League Signups This Friday and Saturday

Signups for Kinh Little League begin tomorrow with afternoon sessions on Friday and Saturday. All players are welcome to register, and organizers emphasize membership in all teams for the upcoming season.

Ukiah and Willits Trackmen Tour Montgomery Meet

Ukiah and Willits track squads head to Montgomery at Baileys Field Santa Rosa Junior College for a two day competition. Ukiah fields Varsity B and C squads led by Dennis Early Norm Woods Gordon Baechtel Fred McKee while Willits counters with top sprinters and jumpers hoping to upset Ukiah in the B and C divisions. Barons Tighten Hold as NIT Tourney Opens

United Press International reports the Barons tighten their hold on the runner up spot with two games left in the AHL season. In other action the Bears edged the Bears 3-0 with goals from de Murut, Michel Lithidie, and Garden Vesprava. The Americans fell 4-2 to Springfield, trimming chances for second place and leaving a three point Barons edge over Rochester. Both clubs still chase Hershey and Syracuse in their final two games.
