Willits High Mourns Four Students in Fatal Crash
Four Willits High School students died in a Friday crash near Mendocino County while en route to San Jose for an athletic event. Debra Garcia 17 and Steven Garcia 18, David Brown 17, and Linda Walker 16 were killed when their 1967 Mustang crossed the center line and collided with a second vehicle. Funeral services were held at Anker-Lucier Mortuary with burial in Willits Cemetery. services for each were led by local clergy.

Ukiah police report a mother Nancy Rose Brown 20 and her two children Raymond Tyron Ricetti 3 and Raymond F Brown 2 were hit by a southbound car driven by Kenneth Rex Ray 34 on N State near Henry Street. Ukiah Unified bond election aims for 5.9 million parcel tax
Voters in the Ukiah Unified school district will decide on March 21 in a two thirds vote whether to approve a $5,900,000 school construction bond. The plan funds lots buildings alterations equipment and major improvements with a 25 year retirement and a 79 cent base tax per $100 assessed valuation. The issue cannot fund teacher salaries or operating costs.
