Tire from truck injures Hopland motorist on Highway 101
A free riding tire from a truck and trailer struck Lester Ingle 62 Hopland on Highway 101 Friday evening. He was treated at Hillside Community Hospital after losing control of his car as the wheel hit. The oncoming driver could not see the tire due to sun glare. Two Women Injured In Motorcycle Mishap At Lake Mendocino Drive
Rose Roberta Hill 38 of Ukiah and passenger Shirley Hipes 31 of Calpella were thrown from a motorcycle after failing to navigate a curve and crashing through a barbed wire fence. Both were hospitalized at Mendocino Community and Ukiah General Hospitals. Police reported the incident occurred Sunday on Lake Mendocino Drive.
