Senior Scram Goes Hawaiian for Ukiah Graduates
Close to 400 seniors and escorts enjoyed a Hawaiian themed Senior Scram at the Ukiah clubhouse. Flowers from the islands, bamboo decor, and lighted tiki lamps set the scene. Organizers led by Mrs. Roy Terkelson and Mrs. Lee Hotell, with help from 15 mothers, crafted leis and provided favors while Roy Terkelson and others hosted a full buffet of Hawaiian dishes and fruit. Hawaiian dancers including the Hougen siblings performed, bands from San Jose provided music, and local sponsors supplied door prizes. Dawn departure found hosts exhausted yet proud of community effort.
