Congress member Don Clausen announced a 37496 grant to Ukiah municipal airport for parking aprons tie-downs taxiways fencing and gates. The 68000 project is funded 53 percent by federal and the rest by the city and state equally. Work starts late July with 6935 feet east fencing 6505 feet west fencing and 4 1/2 foot fencing across north and south boundaries. 1.22 acres north of the FAA building will be paved and prepared for 23 planes.

Driver sought in Lake County hit and run death
Deputies hunt a red 1961 Chevrolet driver after it struck and killed 18 year old Dina Falkner and injured a companion on Highway 29 near Kelseyville. The car was found later on Brown Road with damage.
