Burns Funeral Set For Next Friday
Funeral services for Wallace D. Burns of Ukiah who died Monday in a truck wreck near the Willits underpass will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Lynn Mantin officiating. The body will be shipped to Miami Oklahoma for interment. Survived by his widow Juanita Burns and son Jimmy Dale Burns both of Ukiah, his mother Mrs. Tiny Duggar of Kansas, and five brothers Ira Burns of Ukiah Garland Burns Willie Burns of Texas and Adolph Burns of Marysville. He was 40, a native of Arkansas and a World War I veteran. He was a self employed truck driver. Local arrangements were by Eversale Mortuary of Ukiah.

Mendocino County voter results show party lines hold
In Mendocino County the primary aligned with Democratic and Republican lines. Incumbent Assemblyman Belotti led in this county with 6,272 votes, while David D. Wofford, Humboldt Democrat, had 6,111. For First District Congressman, Clem Miller won with 6,826 over Republican Fred Dupuis who had 5,523 in Mendocino. Dupuis carried Marin County, 19,256 to 16,583. UPI reports a second earthquake struck the Northern California coast Tuesday night in roughly the same region as a Sunday quake. Two sharp jolts at 4:55 p.m. toppled items in Rio Dell and were felt in Arcata Ferndale and Fortuna.
