The Lions Club posted a 22-6 win on 18 hits, while Box Plumbers defeated Lions Club 7-5. Police Association handed Pottery Valley Pine Browns a 28-7 defeat, and Ukiah Cleaners beat Boxmakers 7-5 in a thriller. Saturday also saw Chefs win 12-9 over Potter Valley Pine Browns as Conners and Hutchings combined for seven-hitter. The North Ukiah Police defeated Ukiah Cleaners 12-5 with Wilsey fanning seven.

The Rotary Club dethroned Kiwanis to become Ukiah Service Club champion golf team of the year. The club averaged 74 percent stroke rounds, with runner up Liots Club at 75 and Kiwanis at 76 in special matches from last year. The event was at Ukiah Men's Golf Club with about 43 players having qualifying rounds for the Ukiah Men's Club championship tourney starting next Sunday and running through July 4.
