Defending Champ Out of Ukiah Golf Club Tourney

Defending champion Chet Armstrong now living in Sacramento cannot defend his Ukiah Golf Club championship starting Sunday at Municipal Golf Course. More than 40 players have qualified for the two week event. Jim Maher leads qualifiers with 35-38-73, and top scores include Bill Clarke 41-34-75, Gordon Hill 39-37-76, and Dr. Bob Boobar 38-38 76. Ukiah High Names Baseball Captain elect

Ukiah high school athletes celebrated with a steak barbecue hosted by the Block U Society at Bill Lewis's home, where 44 steaks were eaten and a swimming party followed.
