Andrew Dalton Lee, Palos Verdes Estates cabinet maker, was sentenced to life in prison for selling top secret CIA documents to Russia. Accomplice Christopher Boyce was also convicted. Lee faces parole in 10 years. death penalty was not sought.
Four Lake County public defenders contest indictments against 10 residents for illegal drug offenses arguing Grand Jury secrecy violates defendants rights. Judge Golden denied the motions though Buckley said the matter may appeal to the state appellate court or the Supreme Court. The indictments stem from a six month undercover narcotics probe by Mendocino County authorities.
