Floyd Gibson Dies in Lodi at 75 Funeral services set
Floyd E Gibson 75 of Ukiah died Sunday in Lodi after visiting there with his wife Kathleen. Funeral services will be held at Eversole Mortuary in Ukiah at 11 a.m. Wednesday with a rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Gibson a World War I veteran and former accountant lived in Hopland area, survived by wife Kathleen, son Robert, daughter Barbara Crabb, five grandchildren and one great grandchild, plus sisters Geraldine Buckman Eureka and Grace Knudsen Oakland. He was born in Ukiah and spent his life in the community. A separate report notes an accident near Lake Mendocino Drive involving Leonard Ray Alexander Ukiah. no injuries.

Debra Ann Doty a 17 year old Ukiah resident received a $1000 freshman scholarship to Marylhurst College for Women in Portland Oregon from the Iola Loyal Foundation of Rolling Hills Estates California. The foundation cited financial need and potential usefulness to society in its decision. doty chose Marylhurst on counselor Chet Hardin's recommendation. she is the first Ukiahi graduate to receive the award.

Two Burglaries Reported In Lake County Area

Seven drug arrests in Lake County Highlands area
Seven persons were arrested in three incidents involving narcotics over the weekend. Alan Snavely, 24, Concord, faced assault and possession charges after an altercation at a motel. he allegedly spat on and struck a deputy. Gustav Erickson, 21, and Michael Fellman, 21, were to appear in Justice Court for marijuana possession after deputies arrested them Saturday. Gary Hurtt, 18, John Towner, 20, San Jose, and Frank Real, 38, Oakdale, were jailed on marijuana charges in the Highlands after deputies found a bag in a car parked illegally.
