Traffic charge arrests Santa Rosa man for DUI and license lapse
Thomas Hialmar Johnson, 65, of Santa Rosa, was arrested Friday on charges of driving without a license and driving while intoxicated after a northbound stop on U S 101 near Ukiah. Arresting officer was Donald Jernigan of the Highway Patrol. Joe Mayfield of Mendo Mill reported theft of two gas cans, engine gauges, and a mounting bracket from vehicles behind the business between Thursday and Friday. Deputy William Doidge noted Mayfield’s loss estimate at 36 dollars.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Welts Chapel of the Roses in Santa Rosa for Wilmer H. Bill Cox 65 of Redwood Valley who died Saturday after a long illness. Entombment will be in Santa Rosa Memorial Park. He was a native of Pawnee Okla and a retired plumber, having resided in Redwood Valley for three years. Police probe shooting in Fort Bragg
A 15 year old housewife Mrs. Robert Crow shot and wounded her 53 year old neighbor Charles Farnsworth at 7 30 Friday evening. Farnsworth is in Hillside Hospital in fair condition with a bullet shattering his elbow.
