Four injured in Ukiah area car crashes
Two separate one car accidents in the Ukiah area last night and today left four people with injuries. Richard Finch, 46, drove into a sign pole near Drifter's Club on N State Street, injuring himself and passengers Charles Barnes, 49, and Lynda Roberts, 20, with head and facial lacerations and a possible leg fracture. All were taken to Mendocino Community Hospital. Earlier, Salvador Santana, 33, Boonville, ran off Boonville Road and overturned, damaging a fence and culvert. he was treated for head lacerations at Mendocino Community Hospital.

Anchor Bay resident fights off intruder in night assault
Leeree Merritt woke to pounding at his Anchor Bay home as George Richard Tamblyn 21 of Sacramento forced entry. Merritt shot Tamblyn in the knee then fought deputies. Tamblyn was charged with burglary and assault after receiving treatment for multiple injuries.
