Masonite Tree Seeding Program Expands Planting Effort
Western Woodlands division of Masonite Corporation reports its annual regeneration drive. In November, Western Helicopter Services seeded 674 acres in Mendocino and Sonoma Counties. In December planting crews will start work on 1327 acres and areas cut over in 1973. Planting will continue for two months with about 500000 trees planted, making this year Masonite’s largest effort. Aerial seeding is being phased out due to limited success.
