Emergency room at CH to close

Community Hospital will suspend emergency room services on January 31 due to insufficient staff. Hospital Administrator Wallace Platner said two doctors currently serve the ER and the plan includes expanded weekend clinic hours while monitoring admissions impact. Two Juveniles Arrested After Lakeshore Liquors Robbery

Two female juveniles aged 15 and 16 were arrested after robbing Lakeshore Liquors clerk Doris Lambert at gunpoint around 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Deputies recovered two thirds of the $250 cash and the weapon. a third suspect remains at large. The two detainees were handed to the probation department and held at Mendocino County Juvenile Hall.
