Ukiah men help woman and infant escape flood near Vichy Springs
Four Ukiah men were credited with possibly saving the lives of a young woman known only as Linda and a baby during a flood near the Vichy Springs bridge. The incident occurred around 10 30 PM as vehicles battled swelled currents on the Russian River. A rescuer lay on a car hood to counter the drift while the vehicle crossed the road and plunged down a bank toward a fence. A car later seen passing under a nearby toll road location.
