Pacific Coast basketball intensifies as East North and South collide with West in a three day interleague set headlined by St. Marys versus Idaho State and Washington State versus Utah. Cal Aggies face Valparaiso and UCLA meets Purdue while others clash across the coast. Colorado vs Cal resumes after a 19 game win streak as USC plays out of state. Midweek results include Colorado State beating Idaho 62 46 with Chuck Newcomb scoring 22.
The Chicago Black Hawks moved from the NHL cellar with a 4-0 win over the Boston Bruins. Chicago rose to fifth place as Bruins struggle, winning only two of 16.
