Feibusch and Hays clash over planning conflict ruling

City Attorney Randy Hays released a three week review concluding no conflict of interest by Clyde Oakes on the Main Street extension vote. Covelo Split Over Proposed 29000 Acre State Park

About 60 residents attended a Covelo meeting on a planned 29000 acre Round Valley state park. Opponents warn it would alter the rural character and invite subdivision, while supporters favor preserving land for public use. Wholesale prices rise 0.7 percent in November

Mendocino College plans condemnation to secure access to Yokayo Ranch site for a 10 acre, 100 foot wide road. Ukiah attorney Lee Adams will assist. Trustees in Boonville set Jan 4 1978 to study site access, water, fire protection, sewer rights and five year construction plans for the proposed Yokayo Ranch campus.

Burglar Wades Into Trouble Along Lake After Pursuit

Detectives from Lake County and Benecia police traced John Raymond Gloudemans 26 to Lucerne where a 90 mph chase ensued on Highway 20. The suspect fled on foot into Clear Lake and was arrested and booked on charges of reckless driving and burglary.

Ukiah Council Sets New Rates for Anton Stadium Use

Ukiah city council adopted a new fee schedule doubling several recreation facility charges. Mendocino College will pay 5000 for Anton stadium use retroactive to the football season start, plus 250 and 20 per hour for lights during games. Other stadium activities cost 50 per day без lights. Clubhouse events cost 40 per day, up from 25, with exemptions for public events and weddings.
