Twilight races tighten in Ukiah golf leagues

Races narrow to one point at the top in both the American Twilight Golf and National Leagues after play at Ukiah Municipal Golf Course. Merk's Electrons lead the National League by one over Pioneer, while Anton's Propane and Buxton Insurance sit one apart in the American League. Low scores included Ernie Banker 35 and John Hines Jr 32 net.

Two Yachts Still In America Cup Showdown Trials

The New York Yacht Club selection committee narrowed the field for the 1962 defender. Columbia, the 1958 winner, and Easterner were eliminated after Tuesday’s screening.
