In Citrus Heights Ukiah's Pony League All-Stars lost 6-3 to Carmichael in a tense opener and face another night of action. Rischer Wins Rough Ring Bout in Sacramento

In Sacramento, Roger Rischer of Berkeley won a 10 round split decision over Fred Lewis of McClellan AFB. Both fighters were penalized for fouls with Lewis batting and Rischer knocking Lewis after the bell. It was Rischer's first fight in 22 months and there were no knockdowns.
