Newport high school girl barred from baseball team

Newport High School must field its baseball squad without one of its best outfielders, Patsy, a talented 18-year-old girl. Coaches say she can beat several boys. opponents acknowledge she’s not an easy out. The Kentucky rule bans girls from competing with boys in baseball, though Patsy hopes to contribute as a player and possibly a scorekeeper.
