Ukiah Dolphins Swim Club Seeks New Members

Ukiah area families are urged to join the Ukiah Dolphins youth swim program for ages 8 and under through 17. The club trains in freestyle backstroke breaststroke and butterfly under AAU rules and competes against top Northern California teams, with multiple events and trips planned.

Dolphins Schedule Merges Many Meets Across Region

The Dolphins announce a packed season with Redwood Empire Swimming League clashes against Pitts, Warg, Rhonert Park, Sebastopol Oak Park and Napa Vichy Selim Glub plus an Oak Park meet. A June open at El Camino Swim Club in Sacramento, July 30-31 Junior Olympics at Redding, and August 7-8 Redwood Empire League Championship at College of Marin are planned. An invitation to Chico Invitational and several other meets, plus a novice meet, are also on the slate with Thursday night events and nursing toward a one hour drive.

Spahn Wins Only Mets Start To Tie 2500 Strikeouts

Los Angeles. Warren Spahn, in his second start for the Mets, earned a 3-2 victory over the Dodgers in a late game filled with drama. California CAHPER warns on daily physical education policy

California coaches and PE instructors are urged to engage in politics as CAHPER President Erle Johnson warns that repealing the daily PE requirement could stem from many teachers not recognizing the stakes.
