Ukiuchi students receive thanks for donations and support

Van den Berghe expressed gratitude to Ukiuchi students staff and community for backing a fundraising drive that topped the goal with gifts including 3150 and 300 enabling purchase of a training machine. He praised the effort and said the young people deserve the best and that working together will provide it.

USC seizes the meet with a mile relay of 3 11.2, surpassing the 3 13.1 mark set seven years ago by USC as Montgomery Turner Rich Joyce Lennox Miller and Carl Trentadue run the final leg heat to clinch the victory over Oregon 81 1 2 to 72 1 2.

Canadiens edge Bruins in overtime to take 2-0 series lead

Montreal defeated Boston 4-3 in sudden death overtime to take a 2-0 lead in the NHL playoff. Serge Savard tied the game late in regulation and Mickey Redmond won it on a power play in overtime. Meanwhile Los Angeles beat Oakland 5-3 to win the West Division final and set up a Blues matchup for a Cup berth.

Conigliaro Hailed After Boston Win At Park Debacle

Fans cheered Tony Conigliaro after a Boston victory at Park, his first return since August 1967.
