A collection of social visits and gatherings notes Frank Fox in Cleveland visiting sisters, Miss Jennie Kinsey in New Philadelphia, and others in Uhrichsville Dennison and Dennison area. A severe railroad bridge accident near town kills one man and injures several. funeral services for Arthur Uhrich held, burial at Gnadenhutten cemetery.
The Trans-Missouri Committee of the Western Passenger Association met at the Brown Palace hotel when General Passenger Agent Sebastian of the Rock Island revealed four summer excursions. Beginning around June 20, Rock Island will offer round trips from Chicago St. Louis Kansas City and Omaha to Colorado points at one fare plus 2 with October return limit. Eastern return trips from Denver Colorado Springs and To tle o will follow the same rate and schedule enabling travel west and east alike.
Charlie Arnold on the sick list. Mr and Mrs Jacob Milligan proud to be called grandpa and grandma. Harry Gibbons takes a railroad job with brother Charles. Neta Beil of Stillwater staying with Mrs Peter Gibbon. Mr Nail and wife of Wateron Creek visited Charles Schafer. Jessie Howell visiting friend Etta Schumacher. Frank Hiller begins stone work for Charles Schafer's barn. Stocker and wife of Port Washington visit John Huston. Mrs Mark Huston ill with pneumonia. Grace Barnes spending a few days at home. Vella Simmers seriously ill with typhoid fever. Mrs Blanche Furbay of Uhrichsville visiting relatives here.

B Moon made a flying trip to a place on Thursday. Mr and Mrs George Denny and daughter Lelia traveled to the twin cities Saturday. Oliver Parr of Dennison was in Tuscarawas Monday. Ada Romig finished her spring term at Stillwater and returned home Saturday. Wm Shaw and daughter and Miss Flora were in the twin cities last Friday. Mr and Mrs Lewis Flickinger visited the county seat Monday. Jimmy Bouscher Harry Foster Bob Rolli and Warry Wood drove to Gnadenhutt Sunday afternoon. Mr and Mrs Ruof Minnieh and Tittle Harland spent Sunday with Uncle Henry Senft and family Thornwood Park. Aimelis Herring of Lockport came home Saturday evening with a friend.
Mrs Lib Hines and children of district No 2 visited her parents Mr and Mrs Walter McClintock. Miss Pearl Spring visited Miss Bertha White. Roy Cox works at John Hoskins. Harry Gordon from Uhrichsville stays with Bert Host. Mr and Mrs Geo Marsh of Tappan visited with their parents. Miss Sue White, formerly at Mr J Coles near Dennison, returned home. Homer Utterback of Dist No 3 called on the parents. J A Price traveled to Bowerston. Geo Miller visited his ill wife Lizzie Miller. She is improving.
The 1800 to 1900 history of Uhrichsville is presented this week but crowded out and will be continued next week.
Rev McCarty and wife of Piedmont are visiting this week. Miss Marion McGowan of New Philadelphia left to visit relatives in Sherrodsville. Funeral attendees from here joined the service for Harry Snyder at Uhrichsville. Mrs Anna Mellroy of Deersville visited. Mrs Rivers of Leesville in town. Mr Arthur of Columbus took a position at Tope's drug store. John Miller of Dennison spent Sunday with his daughter Celia at Bowerston. Frea Hammill, Piedmont principal, was in town. James Person moved from Weyant to the Gundy property on Grant Street. Mrs W H Tope and family visited relatives in Sclo. Mrs Geo Chaney of Tappan was in town.
Picnic and pleasure resort on the Cleveland Lorain and Wheeling Ry will be open for special parties on and after May 30th 1900. Ask agents C L and W for rates.
In St Louis Missouri the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church will hold conference May 17 through 31. Excursion tickets at reduced rates are available via Pennsylvania Lines with return validity through June 1. Dates for ticket sales include May 11 16 21 and 22.
