On last Tuesday Officer John Anders, with his attorney May or Reed, appeared in Canal Dover before a police justice on a warrant from Mrs. John Elwood alleging he struck her in official duties. Anders offered no evidence, requested higher court adjudication, and was bound over.
New Philadelphia marshal arrested Geo Brushart on a conductor's complaint after he became disruptive on a Tuscarawas electric line car. Mayor Ackey fined Brushart nine dollars and ten cents including costs for intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Eva Dempster, the young daughter of Jeese Dempster and his wife, was severely bitten on the steps at their home when a vicious dog approached. The animal seized her at the door as she tried to run, causing serious injuries. A physician treated her wounds.

Last Thursday morning, one mile south of Barton on the C D and W, a peculiar wreck occurred as an engine collided with a hand car on the track. The engine derailed and plunged into the wreck below, from which it will be removed with difficulty. One person was injured.
A report from Walla Walla notes A. D. Tasior sustained an unusual injury when an air car setup malfunctioned. The device disconnected unexpectedly, causing a strange accident that left him in pain and awaiting healing. Local observers described the event and noted the incident impacted nearby traffic and safety precautions.
