A Jubilee boy was born Monday to Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Butt. Mr. Butt serves as Scout Master and led the parade at the time of the birth with hopes of a Silver Cup forthcoming from His Majesty.
Mr Edward Elliott of Summerford visits town while Mr James Primmer and others from Black Island spend time in the area. Arthur Colbourne mourns the death of his sister Mrs Miller in Franklyn Massachusetts aged 82. A Sunday night event is set to begin at 10. Seals sighted off Long Point in a four mile offshore arc, estimated 30 to 50 thousand, with ice issues and NNW wind. Monday morning some towboats reached five miles distant.
Confederation Life reports a Tuesday harbour visit by Herring, a large haul caught by Mr. Roberts and crew at Wild Cove, with Messrs Stuckless of Tickle Point also taking a quantity at Pearces Rock. The fish were distributed freely to all comers.
