Prohibition Proposed on Timber Cutting at Long Point Island
Notice states that, about one month after the date hereof, under Section 159 of the Crown Lands Act 1930, cutting timber for building, reducing, sawing or manufacturing, fishery or firewood is prohibited in the Long Point area in North Island Twillingate. The boundary runs from the NE corner of Preston land, along specific compass bearings and distances to land held by Roberts and Preston, with a penalty of 20 dollars for each tree cut contrary to the prohibition.
